Testimonials
Hello,
I am Jessie Sevantes. This is my testimony of how God has provided for my needs through Aftercare Ministry, North Texas 2nd Chance Lighthouse, Inc.
I want to thank God for His salvation and for His love for me.
I was lost and very much in bondage spiritually and literally. I could not run from my problems, nor could I hide. My sins were made known and, once again, it was time to “face the music.” I had hit the bottom and had no hope. My legal troubles were still pending when I finally cried out to God for mercy.
He extended mercy, but not in the way I wanted Him to. I still had to pay for my sins and suffer the consequences for the choices that I had made; Choices that destroyed my marriage, and every relationship that I had ever had up to that point. Yes, that included family love.
I still had to face prison to the tune of 20 years. But God sent a very special person that demonstrated her love for God and, also, for the lost. What I did, did not matter to her, what mattered was that God had heard my cry and sent salvation via this servant.
The gospel was preached and while my flesh said, “No”, my heart was saying, “YES.” That was only the beginning of my new life and over the last fourteen years God has used this ministry and servant to establish me in His word and aid me in my walk. God has blessed me on the outside, as well as, providing me with a car, a home, work, clothing, and most of all, a place to worship!
I thank God for this ministry and for His servants that have been placed in my life. I know that had not my cry been heard that I would not be here today and I would not be able to glorify God via this short testimony. I pray that Aftercare Ministry, North Texas 2nd Chance Lighthouse, Inc. will be blessed of God to continue helping others, such as myself, so that we can all overcome and be victorious in this life to His honor, glory and praise.

This is the car the Lord has blessed me with. It really increases my faith when I see the Lord work. It also blessed me to see people like Larry and Lynne be used of the Lord.

Below is a thank you message and poem we received from a young man who was released from prison. The Aftercare Ministry helped him by paying ticket fines that if not paid would have put him back in jail.

PS. This is the very 1st poem that I ever wrote:
“The Answer”
What do you do, when you’re oh-so blue?
When you’re down-and-out, and without a clue?
When the trials of life, has taken it’s toll on you?
When you ask yourself, “How did I get here?”
And, when the answer doesn’t come, you shed a tear.
What do you do, at a time in your life, where things stand still?
And you tell yourself, this can’t be real.
When the road you’re on, gets too rough.
When nothing you do, is never enough?
So, with all your dreams so close in sight,
You get on your knees to pray at night,
There you call on the Lord, with all your might,
For He and He alone, will put up your fight,
For He says He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light,
And, for all the answers, you’ve searched for in your life,
This one and this one alone, has to be right.
