We are Larry and Lynne Ferguson, Gunter, TX. We have been involved in jail and prison ministry since 1995. We are the Director's of Aftercare Ministry, North Texas 2nd Chance Lighthouse, Inc., a faith-based, 501c3 non-profit ministry that helps men and women who are released from prison or jail.
This website is designed to allow other Christians the opportunity to know how they can help and become involved in Aftercare Ministry. We believe that this type of work has been too long overlooked in the Christian community. We believe that as Christians it is our responsibility to help men and women who are released from prison or jail. Their needs are Great and we should make all effort to help them.
Galatians 6:10, "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to All men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
Many of the men and women who are coming out of jails and prisons are searching for truth-Jesus, and some have the truth-Jesus. These men and women are certainly of the household of faith. We have seen many who have been released from prison come to the Lord through showing them unconditional love and teaching them the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Extended Help is currently going into 17 prisons as well as juvenile facilities in Texas. God is moving in the lives of men, women and children that are incarcerated. Our goal is to saturate these places of confinement with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is when these individuals leave these places they will not leave like they came. They will have the tools to make it and to resist the enemy and go on to live productive lives. We are members of the Parkview Church of Christ, Sherman, TX. For the past few years we have been doing Bible Correspondence Studies with inmates in prison and county jails.
At this time, we are doing studies with over 400 inmates throughout Texas. We have 3 different studies that we do with people:
- Ten Lesson Course - Takes you through the Bible up to the book of Acts.
- World Bible Study - This study covers a wide range of subjects.
- New Life Behavior - Only for those who are very serious about changing their lives.
This course takes a little over a year to complete. It teaches you how to make Godly decisions and base your behavior upon Biblical Principles. Each student will have the same instructor, so that it is not only a teaching situation, but you will have a friend to talk to about your situation and what needs to be done to ensure that you never go back to prison or jail.
These studies are not just for men and women in prison, but anyone can take them. We hope to hear from you soon.

We offer a 10 Lesson and New Life Behavior Bible Correspondence Courses that the men and women can take before they are released from prison. They can also continue taking these courses after they are released.
These lessons can be taken by anyone who wants to be grounded in the Word of God.
